Winners Announced

The 5th ICA International Poster Competition
dedicated to Colored Gemstones
ICA 13th Congress at Panyu – China , May 5-10 2009

The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) conducted the 5th International Poster Competition dedicated to colored gemstones during ICA Congress, that took place in Panyu, Guangzhou, China.

A total of 106 posters from 20 countries, including designs from countries that have not participated in previous years, were exhibited in the congress venue. The delegates of the congress, that had the largest attendees ever in such an event, voted for the three best posters that have been submitted to the competition.

The winners are:

The ICA Poster Competition was initiated ten years ago by Yehuda Kassif who remains the coordinator today for this international competition. "Graphic designers worldwide are combining gemstones with all the senses that make our life so exciting" said Kassif ," we find gemstones and colorful fruit ,gemstones and beautiful landscapes, lavish flowers, affluence clothing, wild animals, famous drawings and political issues. The competition has become an expression of the international language that we all use – the language of colored gemstones, diamonds and jewelry," he added.

I would like to thank all members of the organizing committee of the competition headed by Kassif, Ms. Jacqueline Grande, from USA ; Mr. Rui Galopim De Carvalho, from Portugal and Mr. Pavel Sokolov, from Russia . We would like to thank also Mr. Barbara Wheat and the staff of the Head Office for assisting in organizing the competition.
